As a small business owner, Markel quickly learned that success was defined by a relentless focus on customer satisfaction and relationships. Through time the name Whittington became synonymous with customer service. After years of growth and acquisitions, Markel founded Whittington Office Furniture in 2007. At every step, Markel’s primary focus has been customer satisfaction, and he instilled that attitude in every associate and team member.
Whittington Office Furniture was born out of the financial crisis of 2007 and 2008. With the customer in mind, Markel identified a unique opportunity to purchase high quality used office furniture and offer it to the North Mississippi market. The goal was to offer the highest quality office furniture at the highest value and lowest cost to his customers. And that is exactly what he did.
